Salesforce sells Spiff, also listed as Incentive Compensation Management, as a paid add-on to a Sales Cloud license, and two of the eight alternatives here show rates on their websites. This comparison is for Spiff customers on Sales Cloud, especially teams whose reps also work in HubSpot.
Because we publish this guide and rank QuotaPath first, every weight and score is shown. With list price set aside, the ranking scores price disclosure, CRM fit, and trial access, so Core Commissions, the cheapest published option, comes second.
For territory and quota planning alongside commissions, look at CaptivateIQ and Varicent. G2 scores and limitations are listed for every vendor, QuotaPath included.
Key takeaways
- Top Salesforce Spiff alternatives in 2026 include QuotaPath, Core Commissions, CaptivateIQ, Performio, Everstage, Xactly, Qobra, and Varicent. QuotaPath leads with publicly posted per-user rates and a flat base charge, plus a HubSpot app for reps.
- Licenses alone put 25 Spiff users at $22,500 annually, and every outside system you link adds $3,000 more a year.
- Six vendors keep pricing behind a sales conversation. For five of them, Vendr’s buyer data is the only public pricing evidence we found.
- Mark your Spiff renewal date early, since leaving takes a written opt-out 30 days ahead and a smaller renewal is repriced.

What to look for in a Spiff alternative
1. Price disclosure
Salesforce lists Spiff at $75 per user per month on a required annual contract. If a vendor quotes on request, get the seat rate and setup fee in writing.
2. A clear seat definition
Spiff’s page charges per User without saying whether an admin who approves payouts counts as one. Ask Salesforce for the contract’s User definition.
3. Charges beyond the rate
Spiff bills $250 monthly for each one-way connector to a non-Salesforce system. Premium Support is priced at 30% of Net Price, a figure the page doesn’t define.
4. Pay transparency for reps
Salesforce’s Trends in Sales Compensation report found that 74% of sales reps want more transparency in how their pay is calculated. Ask how a rep sees the calculation behind every deal, and whether they can see it in every CRM your team uses.
5. A way to test first
Salesforce offers no Spiff trial licenses. Before you sign, find out what a test looks like: a self-serve trial, a scoped pilot, a product tour, or only a demo.
6. Renewal terms
Under section 11.2 of Salesforce’s Main Services Agreement, Spiff renews for another 12 months unless you give written notice at least 30 days before the term ends. Shrinking the seat count or term at renewal resets the price, ignoring your current per-unit rate.
How we ranked these tools
We scored each vendor from 0 to 5 on seven criteria. Of the six checks under What to look for, the first five carry 80% of the score (25%, 15%, 15%, 15%, and 10%). In Table 2, pay transparency appears as a CRM fit. Capability for advanced plan logic and G2 rating carry 10% each, and renewal terms sit outside the score.
Every scored fact traces to vendor pages, G2, Vendr, or Gartner, and we tested no product hands-on. Shifting 10 points of weight from pricing to capability moves CaptivateIQ to second. QuotaPath stays first.
| Tool | Pricing you can verify yourself (25%) | Seat definition (15%) | Charges beyond the rate (15%) | CRM fit (15%) | Ways to test (10%) | Capability (10%) | G2 rating (10%) | Total | With capability at 20% |
| QuotaPath | 5 | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 93 | 91 |

How the eight compare on seats, CRMs, rep views, and trials
Gaps such as “Not defined” are questions to raise with sales.
Table 3: What each vendor documents before you buy

| Core Commissions | Payees plus every login beyond one free admin, with a 15-payee minimum (50 outside the US and Canada) | Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Pipedrive, Zoho, Freshsales, and others | None documented | $500 proof of concept |
| CaptivateIQ | Payees plus admins | Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics | Salesforce tab | Gated product tour |

The eight best Salesforce Spiff alternatives
1. QuotaPath
Rating: 4.8/5 on G2, 411 reviews
Gartner Magic Quadrant 2026: Not included
Best for: Teams leaving Spiff that run HubSpot alongside Salesforce
Skip it if: you run a very large or heavily regulated comp program, or need EU data hosting
Growth includes the AI-Powered Plan Builder, and Premium adds plan modeling, multi-level approvals, API access, and Rippling payroll sync. In HubSpot, App Pages carry the full earnings and attainment views, while App Cards show current earnings and the projected impact of open deals.
On QuotaPath’s pricing page, Growth is $35 per user per month plus a $525 monthly platform fee. Premium raises those to $50 per user and an $800 monthly fee. Neither plan lists a seat minimum, and the free trial lasts 14 days.
“Thanks to QuotaPath, the only two times I think about commissions now are when payroll is due and during annual planning. That’s it.”
Kenza Sebbar, Director of RevOps at Actabl
Pros:
- Rollout included in the fee
- Revenue-recognition ledger on Growth
Cons:
- Live-data planning requires the Atlas Connected add-on
- Implementation averages 45 to 60 days on Growth, 60 to 90 on Premium
- Fixed fee makes up about 43% of a 25-user Growth bill

2. Core Commissions
Rating: 3.9/5 on G2, 4 reviews, too few to compare
Gartner Magic Quadrant 2026: Not included
Best for: US and Canadian teams paying on five or fewer commission rules
Skip it if: you need rule-based payouts for fewer than 15 payees
Launch, the tier with a rules engine, includes five rules and starts at $20 per payee per month, or $300 for a 15-payee team.
Enterprise runs $35 per payee per month with custom integrations, and Managed Services costs $5 more. Core’s Reporter page lists Reporter, for automated reporting, as free for up to 15 payees and $1 per payee per month after that. Its main pricing page still shows Reporter from $10.
Pros:
- $500 Quick Start with a 30-day trial
- $0.50 per payee per month for each extra rule
Cons:
- Rep statements only in Core’s portal
- Setup quoted separately, integration billed hourly

3. CaptivateIQ
Rating: 4.7/5 on G2, 3,489 reviews
Gartner Magic Quadrant 2026: Leader
Best for: Salesforce-first RevOps teams
Skip it if: you need ASC 606 reporting in the base price
Teams that model territories, quotas, and capacity before setting pay can run both steps in CaptivateIQ, which sells Planning next to Incentives. A Salesforce package gives reps a CaptivateIQ tab in Salesforce.
Pros:
- Biggest review sample on G2
- Seat rule published, admins included
Cons:
- Three named CRMs, tied for fewest
- Setup billed on top of seats

4. Performio
Rating: 4.4/5 on G2, 1,070 reviews
Gartner Magic Quadrant 2026: Included, placement not announced
Best for: organizations with 70-plus payees and data in several systems
Skip it if: you only want spreadsheet automation
Analytics Studio extends Performio’s commission calculation and plan management with reporting.
Performio lists ten cost drivers. Seats for commissionable employees and admins, Analytics Studio, dedicated database environments, and extra sandboxes set the subscription. Plans, data sources, reports, advanced analytics, and custom workflows set the one-time implementation cost.
Pros:
- Support, onboarding, and a sandbox included
- Pricing ignores data volume and API use
Cons:
- Rate withheld until a quote
- No trial or self-guided tour

5. Everstage
Rating: 4.8/5 on G2, 2,205 reviews
Gartner Magic Quadrant 2026: Challenger
Best for: 20 or more payees on Salesforce
Skip it if: you need reps to see their pay in HubSpot
Everstage’s engineers run implementation and quote 4 to 6 weeks to go live. Its Salesforce app lets reps track commissions and projected payouts.
Pricing is per payee, and quotes itemize license, support, and implementation.
Pros:
- No enforced seat minimum
- No-cost pilot on your plan
Cons:
- Paid add-ons for ASC 606 and the Salesforce app
- Silent on whether admins need seats

6. Xactly
Rating: 4.2/5 on G2, 1,096 reviews
Gartner Magic Quadrant 2026: Leader
Best for: big payee counts on intricate plans
Skip it if: you want ASC 606 on the entry tier
Industry Benchmarking sits in Ultimate, the top Incent tier. Every tier is quote-only, priced on how many people you pay and how complex the plans are.
Pros:
- Full sandbox environment from Incent Plus
- Compensation views in Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Dynamics
Cons:
- Second-lowest G2 rating here
- Territory planning sold separately

7. Qobra
Rating: 4.8/5 on G2, 1,071 reviews
Gartner Magic Quadrant 2026: Not included
Best for: companies whose CRM is HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, or Salesforce
Skip it if: you want a third-party price benchmark before negotiating
Custom sales dashboards and performance notifications reach reps in Slack, and Qobra says its Sales Coach agent answers their pay questions.
Clicking Request pricing on Qobra’s site opens a demo form.
Pros:
- No-code plan design with validation workflows
- Connectors bundled into pricing
Cons:
- Seat definition not published
- Pricing basis undisclosed

8. Varicent
Rating: 4.5/5 on G2, 625 reviews
Gartner Magic Quadrant 2026: Leader, for the eighth consecutive time
Best for: large sales organizations on Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics
Skip it if: your plans pay one flat rate on closed revenue
Insurers get the most from Varicent: its AgentSync partnership puts producer onboarding and licensing in the same view as compensation. Incentives, Sales Planning, and Seller Insights are separate Varicent products. Sales Planning handles territory design and quota setting.
Pros:
- Public APIs plus database and HCM connectors
- Seller Insights for reps
Cons:
- Quote required for price and seat terms
- Tours gated behind a work email

Other Spiff alternatives worth a look
Five more tools handle commissions outside this ranking. The first four appear in Gartner’s 2026 Magic Quadrant:
Table 4: Fallbacks if none of our picks fit
| Tool | Best for | Published price | Notable detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| SAP Incentive Management | SAP-centric enterprises | None | In SAP’s CRM and customer experience (CX) lineup |
| Oracle Sales Performance Management | Oracle Fusion Cloud customers | None | Part of Oracle’s Fusion CX suite |
| Anaplan | Existing Anaplan customers | None | A planning platform first, named a Gartner Leader |
| Forma.ai | Enterprise sales comp teams | None | Territory, quota, and incentive planning on one data platform |
| Sales Cookie | Teams that want month-to-month terms | $40 or $60/user/month, free 14-day trial | No setup or platform fee |
What each option costs for a 25-person team
QuotaPath, Core Commissions, and Spiff rows come from their rate cards. For Xactly, CaptivateIQ, and Performio, the rows use Vendr’s contract ranges for similar seat counts.
Table 5: How wide the price gap runs
| Vendor | 25 people, per year | Basis | Vendr median, all sizes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core Commissions Launch | From $6,000 | Published starting rate | Not used |
| QuotaPath Growth | $14,700 | Published rate | $10,032 (49 purchases, all plans) |
| QuotaPath Premium | $21,600 | Published rate | $10,032 (all plans) |
| Salesforce Spiff | $22,500 | Published rate, licenses only | Not used |
| Xactly Incent | $15,000 to $45,000 | Vendr band, 10 to 50 users | $79,991 (110 purchases) |
| CaptivateIQ | $20,000 to $50,000 | Vendr band, 10 to 50 payees | $37,522 (310 purchases) |
| Performio | $25,000 to $60,000 | Vendr band, 20 to 50 users | $50,160 |
| Everstage | No figure at this size | Vendr median only | $44,220 |
| Varicent | No figure at this size | Vendr median only | $28,350 (range $16,349 to $478,322) |
| Qobra | No figure available | No Vendr data | None |
Each rate-card figure is a year of list price at that headcount. QuotaPath’s Growth total is 12 × ($525 + 20 × $35), because five of the 25 seats sit inside the fee.
With one connector, Spiff reaches $25,500 a year, and a second brings it to $28,500, before Premium Support or implementation fees. QuotaPath’s Atlas Connected starts at $5,000 a year. For Core Commissions, running ten rules adds $750 a year.

The hours your team spends on commissions become an annual cost in QuotaPath’s ROI calculator, which you can add to these totals.
“The payout process was improved with the Rippling-QuotaPath integration by saving time and reducing the risk of error. Time savings were probably close to an hour per pay run.”
Jordan Rupp, Head of Finance and Operations at Hona
Next steps: Switching from Spiff without missing a payout
Begin with your order form, which can override the notice period in Salesforce’s standard agreement. By the notice deadline, export comp plans and at least 12 months of statements and payout history. Salesforce keeps Customer Data available on request for only 30 days after the contract ends.
Finance needs that history, since under ASC 340-40, companies capitalize incremental commission costs and update their amortization when the expected timing of delivery changes significantly. Run one full cycle in parallel before you cut over. Use that cycle to confirm finance gets its amortization schedule and reps can trace each payout to a deal. Stage the move by taking one team or region through a pay period first.
AirDNA left Spiff after trialing QuotaPath and rebuilt its commission history and two years of compensation plans in 1.5 months, half the time it had planned for. Start a free 14-day trial to run one of your own plans against real data while your current contract still runs.
Disclaimer: Vendors change pricing and features often, and each one can confirm its current terms. We checked everything here between October 14 and 19, 2026. Tell us about any outdated details on your product so we can correct them.
Salesforce Spiff alternatives FAQs
1. What is the best alternative to Salesforce Spiff?
QuotaPath scores highest in this comparison. Actabl chose it after grading four vendors, including Spiff and CaptivateIQ, against a written list of user stories. Draft your own must-have scenarios before demos, and you can run that test on your shortlist.
2. Can I buy Spiff if I don’t use Salesforce Sales Cloud?
Yes, according to Salesforce’s pricing FAQ, which says Spiff is available to all customers. The same page also calls it an add-on bought with Sales Cloud, so confirm whether your price includes that subscription and add it to your Spiff budget if so.
3. Which Spiff alternative works best with HubSpot?
QuotaPath is the strongest HubSpot fit because it has a commission app in the HubSpot App Marketplace. The other seven list HubSpot as an integration without documenting a rep view there, so reps check pay in a separate tool or in Salesforce.
