Commission software costs most mid-market teams about $10,000 to $80,000 a year, based on Vendr’s median contracts for six vendors, but the per-user rate on a pricing page is only part of that bill.
Of the 10 vendors in this guide, QuotaPath is the only one whose published price covers implementation and support, which makes it the easiest to budget for.
Key takeaways
- QuotaPath has the most predictable commission software pricing. Its published price of $35 or $50 per user per month, plus a $525 or $800 monthly platform fee, and its $10,032 median contract is the lowest of the six vendors Vendr tracks.
- At 50 users, list prices put QuotaPath Growth at $25,200 a year and Salesforce Spiff at $51,000 with two outside connectors, according to Salesforce’s Spiff pricing page.
- Vendr’s medians for the five quote-only vendors it covers run from $28,350 for Varicent to $79,991 for Xactly.
- Renewal increases add to the cost after the first year. Vendr reports typical increases of 3% to 7% for CaptivateIQ and 5% to 15% for Performio, though SpendHound’s data shows CaptivateIQ’s SMB pricing rising faster, at 7.86% a year. A written cap in the order form limits the increase.
Most vendors in this guide quote each deal privately, which makes side-by-side budgeting hard. Table 1 puts every published rate, the fees outside it, and Vendr’s transaction data in one place.
| Vendor | Published price | Platform or base fee | Setup fee | Who counts as a seat | Vendr median per year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| QuotaPath | $35 (Growth) or $50 (Premium) per user per month, billed annually | $525 or $800 per month, covers the first 5 users | None. Implementation is included in the platform fee | All users, including admins | $10,032 |
| Salesforce Spiff | $75 per user per month, billed annually | None. $250 per month per non-Salesforce connector | Not published. Implementation runs through Salesforce or partners | Users. Salesforce does not say whether admins need licenses | Not tracked |
| Xactly | Not on its own site. AWS Marketplace lists $250,000 a year for 500 users | Not published | Quoted separately | Named users | $79,991 |
| CaptivateIQ | Not published | Not published | One-time fee, amount not published | Admins plus payees | $37,044 |
| Everstage | Not published | Not published. Enterprise support is billed annually along with the license | One-time onboarding fee | Payees | $44,220 |
| Performio | Not published | Not published | One-time implementation fee | Commissionable employees plus admin seats | $50,160 |
| Varicent | Not published | Not published | Not published | Not published | $28,350 |
| Core Commissions | $10 to $35 per payee per month, 15-payee minimum | None | Setup and maintenance fees may apply | Payees, plus admins beyond the first | Not tracked |
| Palette | Not published | Not published | Implementation fees vary | Payees only | Not tracked |
| Visdum | Not published | None | One-time setup and implementation fee | Payees only | Not tracked |
(Note: Vendr medians are annual contract values from buyer transactions. Published prices, fees, and seat rules come from each vendor’s pricing page and Xactly’s AWS Marketplace listing. We checked all of these on October 13, 2026.)

Talk to SalesWhat you actually pay for
Before comparing quotes, check which of these five charges each one includes:
- License: Billed per user or per payee, usually annually.
- Platform or base fee: A fixed monthly charge on top of the license. QuotaPath’s ($525 on Growth, $800 on Premium) includes setup and support, so its per-user cost falls as headcount grows.
- Setup or implementation: CaptivateIQ, Everstage, Performio, Visdum, and Xactly charge it separately. Core Commissions and Palette note setup or implementation fees on their pricing pages.
- Connectors: Integrations with outside systems are either included in the plan or billed per connection. Spiff bills each link to a system outside Salesforce separately, while QuotaPath includes integrations by tier.
- Support: Salesforce prices Spiff Premium Support at 30% of net price, and Everstage bills enterprise support as its own annual line. Vendr estimates premium support at 10% to 20% of the subscription for CaptivateIQ and 15% to 25% for Performio.
If commissions still run in spreadsheets, set these charges against the hidden cost of good enough commission tracking.
Seat definitions also change the total, because vendors disagree on whether the RevOps, finance, and sales leaders who approve payouts need a paid seat. CaptivateIQ and Performio bill them, and QuotaPath charges admins the same rate as reps, with the first five users inside its platform fee. Everstage, Palette and Visdum bill only the people who earn commission, while Core Commissions gives one admin a free seat and counts the rest as payees.
A team of 45 reps and 5 admins needs 50 seats on QuotaPath or CaptivateIQ, 49 on Core Commissions, and 45 on Everstage, Palette or Visdum. Put every quote on the same headcount, then project comp plan costs against next year’s hiring plan.
Commission software pricing by vendor
This section profiles the ten vendors in this guide, drawing on each vendor’s own pricing page, Xactly’s AWS Marketplace listing and, where available, contract data from Vendr and SpendHound. Figure 1 groups them by how they publish pricing.

Xactly pricing
Xactly’s sales performance management platform pairs incentive compensation with territory and quota planning.
- What is published: Tier names only: Incent Core, Plus, and Ultimate. Its AWS Marketplace listing prices a 12-month contract at $250,000 for 500 users, about $500 per user per year, and tags 24- and 36-month terms as saving up to 70% and 80%.
- What buyers actually pay: Vendr records a $79,991 median across 110 purchases, with deals from $13,607 to $423,922, and estimates negotiated rates of $1,200 to $2,200 per user per year for teams of 10 to 50. SpendHound tracked a 5.57% year-over-year increase across 16 enterprise customers.
- What isn’t in the price: Implementation is quoted separately. ASC 606 commission expense accounting, a full sandbox, and advanced data connectors start at Incent Plus, one tier above Core.
- Source and date checked: Xactly’s pricing page, AWS Marketplace, and Vendr, Oct. 13, 2026. See QuotaPath vs Xactly.
G2 rating: 4.2 from 1,096 reviews
Salesforce Spiff pricing
Spiff is now part of Salesforce, which sells it as its incentive compensation management product.
- What is published: $75 per user per month, billed annually. Each connector to a system outside Salesforce costs $250 a month, and Premium Support adds 30% of the net price.
- What buyers actually pay: Vendr’s Performio vs. Spiff comparison puts typical Spiff contracts for teams of 75 to 150 users at $40,000 to $90,000 a year.
- What isn’t in the price: Implementation, delivered through Salesforce Professional Services or partners, which the same Vendr comparison puts at $5,000 to $25,000 for mid-market deployments. Salesforce doesn’t define “net price,” so ask whether the support charge covers connectors too. One FAQ on its pricing page calls Spiff a Sales Cloud add-on, while another says non-Sales Cloud customers can buy it. There is no free trial.
- Source and date checked: Salesforce’s Spiff pricing page and Vendr, both Oct. 13, 2026. See QuotaPath vs Spiff.
G2 rating: 4.6 from 3,136 reviews
CaptivateIQ pricing
CaptivateIQ explains how it prices but leaves every figure to the sales process.
- What is published: Per-seat billing that counts admins and payees alike, plus a one-time setup fee. No amounts.
- What buyers actually pay: Vendr records a $37,044 median across 309 purchases, with deals from $12,063 to $100,240. SpendHound puts the SMB average at $38,806 across 160 customers and tracked a 7.86% year-over-year rise across 25 of them.
- What isn’t in the price: The setup fee, which Vendr estimates at 10% to 30% of first-year contract value. Vendr also puts typical renewal increases at 3% to 7%, below the 7.86% rise SpendHound tracked.
- Source and date checked: CaptivateIQ’s pricing page, Vendr and SpendHound, Oct. 13, 2026. See QuotaPath vs CaptivateIQ.
G2 rating: 4.7 from 3,489 reviews
Everstage pricing
Everstage sets no seat minimum but targets teams of 20 to 30 or more payees.
- What is published: A per-payee platform license, enterprise support billed annually, and a one-time onboarding fee.
- What buyers actually pay: Vendr shows a $44,220 median and a range of $28,273 to $104,850, without a sample size.
- What isn’t in the price: Support is its own line. The Salesforce app, an alerts package for Slack, Teams, and Gmail, and ASC 606 compliance are sold as add-ons. No renewal benchmark is published, so set the cap before signing.
- Source and date checked: Everstage’s pricing page and Vendr, Oct. 13, 2026. See QuotaPath vs Everstage.
G2 rating: 4.8 from 2,190 reviews
Performio pricing
Performio’s pricing page is aimed at teams with 70 or more commissionable employees.
- What is published: The subscription scales with commissionable employees, admin seats, Analytics Studio, dedicated database environments, and extra sandboxes, and implementation is billed once.
- What buyers actually pay: Vendr found a $50,160 median and deals from $11,222 to $125,923, sample size undisclosed.
- What isn’t in the price: Vendr’s guide puts mid-market implementation at $25,000 to $40,000 on average, premium support at 15% to 25% of the subscription, and renewal proposals at 5% to 15% higher.
- Source and date checked: Performio’s pricing page and Vendr, Oct. 13, 2026. See QuotaPath vs Performio.
G2 rating: 4.4 from 1,071 reviews
Varicent pricing
Varicent quotes each deal through its sales team.
- What is published: No prices, tiers, or plan names on its website.
- What buyers actually pay: Vendr reports a $28,350 median, but individual contracts range from $16,349 to $478,322 with no sample size, so the median sits near the bottom of a wide spread.
- What isn’t in the price: Varicent doesn’t break out implementation, support, or module fees, and Vendr has no renewal data. Ask for each as a separate line.
- Source and date checked: Varicent’s website, which has no pricing page, and Vendr, both Oct. 13, 2026.
G2 rating: 4.5 from 622 reviews

QuotaPath pricing
QuotaPath publishes its full rate card, with implementation and support included in the platform fee.
- What is published: Growth is $35 per user per month plus a $525 monthly platform fee. Premium is $50 per user plus $800. Both bill annually, and the platform fee covers the first five users, implementation, a dedicated account team, and ongoing support, so a 10-user Growth team pays $700 a month ($525 + 5 × $35). Growth includes the AI-Powered Plan Builder, unlimited plans, ledger and ASC 606 support, and a 14-day free trial. Premium adds plan modeling, multi-level approvals, custom reporting, API access, Rippling payroll sync, and accounting and data warehouse integrations.
- What buyers actually pay: Vendr shows a $10,032 median across 49 purchases, with contracts from $5,332 to $14,501, the lowest median of the six vendors Vendr tracks. At HydroCorp, Senior Director of Revenue Operations David Taub says QuotaPath paid for itself in one month by catching errors carried over from a spreadsheet plan.
- What isn’t in the price: The Enhanced and Strategic service tiers and Atlas, QuotaPath’s AI compensation strategist, are priced on request. Accounting, BI, and HRIS integrations come with Premium.
- Source and date checked: QuotaPath’s pricing page and Vendr, Oct. 13, 2026.
G2 rating: 4.8 from 406 reviews
Core Commissions, Palette and Visdum pricing
Vendr doesn’t track these three vendors, so their profiles rely on each company’s own pricing page.
- What is published: Core Commissions bills annually per payee with a 15-payee minimum: Reporter at $10 a month for reporting only, Launch at $20 with five rules included, and Enterprise at $35, with Managed Services adding $5 on top of Enterprise. Palette lists Starter, Scale, and Enterprise plans without prices and advertises 20% off for annual billing. Visdum publishes no figures.
- What buyers actually pay: No contract data is available. Visdum’s own estimate puts a typical first year in the low five figures.
- What isn’t in the price: Core Commissions notes that setup and maintenance fees may apply on every tier, charges $0.50 per payee per month for each rule past five, and limits Launch support to two tickets a month. Palette charges a one-time implementation fee scoped to each customer, and Visdum adds a one-time setup fee to its per-payee subscription. Neither Palette nor Visdum charges for admins.
- Source and date checked: Core Commissions, Palette and Visdum pricing pages, each checked Oct. 13, 2026. See how they stack up against QuotaPath.
G2 ratings: Core Commissions 3.9 from 4 reviews, Palette 4.9 from 72 reviews, and Visdum 4.8 from 678 reviews
What commission software costs at 10, 50, and 200 users
At list price, QuotaPath Growth costs 30% less than Salesforce Spiff at 10 users and 51% less at 50 and 200 users, before Spiff’s support charge. Every figure in Table 2 comes from a published price, billed annually, with every seat counted.
| Annual cost at list price | 10 users | 50 users | 200 users |
|---|---|---|---|
| QuotaPath Growth | $8,400 | $25,200 | $88,200 |
| QuotaPath Premium | $12,600 | $36,600 | $126,600 |
| Salesforce Spiff, license and connectors | $12,000 (1 connector) | $51,000 (2 connectors) | $180,000 (no connectors) |
| Spiff Premium Support, if bought | +$2,700 to $3,600 | +$13,500 to $15,300 | +$54,000 |
| Core Commissions Launch | $3,600 | $12,000 | $48,000 |
(Note: Spiff assumes one outside connector at 10 users, two at 50, and none at 200, the low support figure applies 30% to licenses only, and the high figure includes connectors. Sources: QuotaPath, Salesforce, and Core Commissions pricing pages, all checked October 13, 2026.)
The math behind each row:
- QuotaPath Growth: ($525 + 5 × $35) × 12 = $8,400 at 10 users, ($525 + 45 × $35) × 12 = $25,200 at 50 and ($525 + 195 × $35) × 12 = $88,200 at 200.
- QuotaPath Premium: ($800 + 5 × $50) × 12 = $12,600 at 10 users, ($800 + 45 × $50) × 12 = $36,600 at 50 and ($800 + 195 × $50) × 12 = $126,600 at 200.
- Salesforce Spiff: (10 × $75 + 1 × $250) × 12 = $12,000 at 10 users, (50 × $75 + 2 × $250) × 12 = $51,000 at 50 and 200 × $75 × 12 = $180,000 at 200.
- Spiff Premium Support at 30%: $2,700 on a $9,000 license at 10 users, or $3,600 if the $3,000 connector counts. $13,500 on a $45,000 license at 50 users, or $15,300 with connectors. $54,000 on a $180,000 license at 200 users.
- Core Commissions Launch: 15 × $20 × 12 = $3,600 at 10 users, because the 15-payee minimum applies. 50 × $20 × 12 = $12,000 at 50 and 200 × $20 × 12 = $48,000 at 200.

The totals also cover different things:
- Core Commissions has the lowest license price at every size, but its pricing page adds possible setup and maintenance fees, $0.50 per payee per month for each rule past five, and a limit of two support tickets a month on Launch. Rule fees alone add $1,500 a year to a 50-payee plan with 10 rules (50 × 5 × $0.50 × 12).
- QuotaPath’s figures already include implementation, an account team, and ongoing support. Spiff quotes implementation separately through Salesforce or partners, and Core Commissions caps Launch support.
- At 10 users, QuotaPath Premium lists $600 above Spiff with one connector, then comes in below it once Spiff Premium Support is added: $12,600 against $14,700 to $15,600.
For the quote-only vendors that Vendr tracks, its contract ranges are the closest public guide:
- Xactly: $13,607 to $423,922
- Performio: $11,222 to $125,923
- CaptivateIQ: $12,063 to $100,240
- Everstage: $28,273 to $104,850
- Varicent: $16,349 to $478,322
Each range spans every company size, so none is converted into a per-user estimate. Visdum and Palette fall outside Vendr’s data, so neither has a range here.

How to keep the price down
Five terms in the contract set the final number:
- Renewal caps: Write the maximum annual increase into the order form, and check whether the contract renews automatically.
- Multi-year terms: Vendr reports 10% to 25% lower annual pricing on two- and three-year terms for Xactly and Performio. Sign one only if pricing stays flat for the full term and seats can drop with headcount.
- Connectors: List every system that feeds commissions, from CRM and billing to the data warehouse and payroll, and price the connectors before signing. On Spiff, each one outside Salesforce adds $3,000 a year ($250 × 12, per Salesforce’s pricing page).
- Seat definitions: Get the seat definition in writing. Read-only finance and approver access is free on some platforms and billed on others.
- Setup fees: Ask for a fixed implementation price tied to a defined scope, or choose a vendor that includes it. QuotaPath folds implementation into its platform fee.
Xactly’s fiscal year closes in January, which Vendr says makes October through December a strong window to negotiate. For realistic implementation timelines, read G2 reviews. To see features side by side, use the four-vendor comparison.

Frequently asked questions
How much does commission software cost?
Vendr’s median contracts run from $10,032 a year for QuotaPath to $79,991 for Xactly. At list price, a 10-user team pays $8,400 a year for commission tracking on QuotaPath Growth, or $12,000 on Salesforce Spiff with one connector, before support.
How much does Xactly cost?
Xactly publishes tier names but no prices. Vendr puts the median buyer contract at $79,991 a year, and Xactly’s AWS Marketplace listing prices 500 users at $250,000 for one year.
Why don’t most commission software vendors publish pricing?
Payee count, plan complexity, and integrations change every deal, so most vendors quote privately. Only QuotaPath, Salesforce Spiff, and Core Commissions publish a price, and only QuotaPath’s includes implementation and support.
Do admin users count as paid seats?
QuotaPath, CaptivateIQ, and Performio bill admins as users. Admin access costs nothing on Everstage, Palette, and Visdum, where only commission earners count toward the seat total, and Core Commissions covers one admin before billing the rest as payees.
What fees should I ask about before signing?
Get written figures for setup, connectors, support, the renewal cap, and the seat definition. QuotaPath’s pricing page answers four of the five up front: setup and support are inside the platform fee, integrations are listed by tier with no per-connector charge, and the seat definition is stated in writing.
